Queen Isabella of Castile

This exceptionally rare processional statue from 18th century Spain has a delicately modeled face with a slightly open mouth revealing finely rendered teeth. Its solid torso contains an underlying cage-form structure and articulated shoulders, elbows and wrists, allowing the figure to be posed and dressed. The polychromed face has been stabilized.
