Harley-Davidson 16C
The 1916 Harley-Davidson Model 16-C combined a five-horsepower, 35-cubic-inch single-cylinder engine with a three-speed, hand-shifted transmission. It featured a kickstarter, floorboards and a newly rounded fuel tank. Harley-Davidson sold 862 Model C singles in 1916, compared with more than 15,000 V-twins.
