'Cityscape' Model PE 209 Dining Table

A 1970s Cityscape dining table by Paul Evans, designed with a bold architectural silhouette and clad in chromed stainless steel patchwork panels. The table’s block-form legs and faceted reflective surface give it the mirrored, skyline-like quality associated with Evans’ Cityscape series, one of his most recognizable bodies of work from the period.

The underside bears an impressed “Original Paul Evans” stamp.

About the Maker
Paul Evans was an American furniture designer and sculptor known for bringing hand-worked metal, brutalist texture, and highly polished reflective surfaces into collectible design. After working as a craftsman and metalsmith, Evans became closely associated with Directional Furniture, where he produced some of his most influential designs. His Cityscape series, developed in the 1970s, is especially recognized for its chrome and brass patchwork surfaces, which marked a shift from the heavier sculpted steel works of his earlier career toward a sleeker, more glamorous architectural language.
