About the Maker:
Gio Ponti (1891–1979) was an Italian architect, designer, artist and publisher whose multidisciplinary career helped define modern Italian design. He founded Domus magazine in 1928 and designed furniture, lighting, ceramics and interiors alongside landmark architectural projects, including Milan’s Pirelli Tower and Villa Planchart in Caracas. His work united technical innovation with an enduring interest in lightness, craftsmanship and the complete design of an interior.
