Specchio Light

This modular screen by Johanna Grawunder, model Specchio Light, belongs to the Street Glow collection and was created circa 2005. Produced as a limited edition of six by Galerie Italienne, the work combines acrylic panels, steel structure, and backlit mirrored surfaces. Designed as an interchangeable system, the colored panels can be reconfigured, emphasizing Grawunder’s exploration of light, reflection, and architectural space through modular design.

About the Maker:
Born in 1961, Johanna Grawunder is an architect and designer known for her work at the intersection of architecture, light, and design. She began her career working with Ettore Sottsass in Milan, contributing to projects across architecture and product design. Grawunder later established her own studio, where she developed a body of work centered on the use of light as a structural and spatial element. Her designs often incorporate colored illumination and industrial materials, and have been produced in both limited editions and architectural contexts.
