A monumental coffee table by Vincenzo De Cotiis, made in silver-plated brass and recycled fiberglass. The elongated tabletop has softly rounded edges and a dark, worked surface. The contrast between reflective metal and irregular, patinated material is characteristic of De Cotiis’ practice, which often brings together recovered materials, hand-finished surfaces and forms that sit between functional design and sculpture.

About the Maker Vincenzo De Cotiis is an Italian artist, architect and designer born in 1958. He studied architecture at the Politecnico di Milano and founded his studio in Milan, where he lives and works. His practice spans architecture, interiors, furniture and collectible design, with works often made from recovered materials, reflective surfaces and hand-finished patinas. De Cotiis’ work has been presented at institutions including Museo Franz Mayer in Mexico City, Ca’ d’Oro in Venice and Powerlong Art Museum in Shanghai, and his installation Ode is entering the permanent collection of the FENIX Museum of Migration in Rotterdam.
