About the Makers:
Cesare Leonardi (b. 1935) and Franca Stagi (b. 1937) were Italian architects and designers who opened a joint studio in Modena in 1963. Their work spanned architecture, urban planning, and industrial design, with a strong focus on experimentation and material innovation. They are best known for their fiberglass furniture designs of the 1960s, including the Ribbon (CL9), Dondolo, and Eco chairs, which are now held in major museum collections worldwide.
